I'm not sure who blocks who. Honestly, I was very shocked! There are so many fabulous artists here that were making a living on dA (me somewhat included, I found it such a great resource) and now it's just like Google and YouTube, gone.
But yeah! I'll need something to potter around with between work, anyway :)

DA is a great resource, but thankfully there are knock offs available lol
I wonder why they're not global...you'd think the internet would work the same way everywhere (cept like N Korea)-
Sadly, just not the case :) I find I don't mind so much, things are just different. I mean, I get so many movies and TV series free on the YouTube equivalent here that I hardly miss YT, and now I'm sure I'll continue to find substitutes for dA. And eventually I'll be back in Australia, anyway, and everything'll be back to normal.
It's good to know, though! If you know anyone who relies on a website for their income; dA, YT or otherwise, but is going for a holiday or moving overseas, make sure they can still access that site! Otherwise they may need to get a VPN ahead of time :P

First I cried with the beauty of the design, then I cried because devianart is now unavailable in China, and then finally I wept once more with tears of relief to know I could still comment here. I hope you feel sorry for my poor, sodden tissues. Please, please enter me ;u;
I might do a bit of gift art for the winner no matter who it is, though. A simple sketch sheet, maybe. What a beauty!
