The Badger's Sett

Let me introduce my newest character (something I have actually been planning for a LONG time, but switched out the raccoon for another badger, since I rarely see macro badgers).

This is Glum, the macro badgeress. She protects local villages from dragons and ogres, and helps with land renovations for littles.

Her named is based on the character, Glumdalclitch from the Swift novel, Gulliver's Travels. Despite being a badger, she has a kind heart, especially for littlefolk.

However, like badgers, she is rather protective of her "territory" and can get a bit snarly at times.

In this picture, Mellow (my tiny troublemaker) was dared to enter her "sett" while she slept, and claim one of her furs as proof. However, it seems he woke her from rest by falling upon her snout. (She is resting on something similar to a palette)

Enjoy! I had a lot of fun drawing this, though I do need to thank a person for inspiration.

I dedicate this drawing to my friend, Duskwing, known for her badger character, Elarin.

I love badgers! I always kinda have, especially because of my reading of Redwall and such, but I have ALWAYS wanted to see more macro badgers. Seeing Duskwing's art of badgers and studying some better outfit designs, I just had to have one. I did create Fergus before ( a macro European Badger), but I have wanted to try something like an American Badger.
