So many villains in popular culture have tried to take over New York City, as if conquering the most populous city in America is the gateway to conquering the whole country, or even the world itself! All of these fools have failed, usually because the heroes save the day or the villains are not the sharpest weapon in the armory. None of these would-be conquerors have ever conceived the idea to devour the city before, until now. Looks like all it took for the Empire State to get Ate was a giant wolf’s hunger.

After Jazz posted the comic a long time ago, I remarked at how the human looked like me, and she offered to actually make it me. Black hair, Orange Shirt, Blue Jeans, I was in New York at the time, guy gets eaten. It all fit. So I was honored to be asked and agreed to it.
