Evacuate The Dance Floor by iiixkitsunexiii

A powerful synth base thrummed through the air, through the concrete floor. Up through heavy boots to buzz through his joints. Tristan twisted and turned through the crowd, tossed slender hips from side to house. Shoulders followed like water, fins flared to catch the lights flashing over the dance floor. A pounding melody guided his steps, and he weaved between the backs of other dancers. Lights flashed, glinting off of the pink scales on his cheeks and shoulders, sharp against sunkissed skin.

Tristan laughed, flashed fangs as he lost himself to the music. Tossed his head, wine pink hair bounced about his face. This was. Nice. Not worrying was Nice. He laughed again, weaved back to the edges of the floor, away from the press of bodies. This wasn't anything like the practiced dancing he was used to, but it was Fun. He didn't have to Think he could just move and flirt. The press of bodies fell away and he stumbled out of the crowd, looking out over it. Every race and species was represented here. Ketucari to Akadri to Heldyr, a Jordskar, even a few Lucedarians and Hibridi. It was wonderful, he loved it.

"Come here often?" a tease came from behind Tristan, once he stepped off the dancefloor.

The "human" behind him was short and slender, though the men's button down hanging loosely off her shoulders made her look much boxier than she actually was. (And the fact that what little bust she had was pinned down by a sports bra added to the effect.) Boot-cut jeans, steel-toe boots, and a concert-merch tee completed the look. Her deep crimson hair was cut short in a pixie cut, blue helydrite studs sparkled in her ears, and a few pendants hung around her neck. In a club like this, she wasn't particularly unusual.

Maybe the biggest thing of note was that her entire getup was taking a general "nope" at human gender roles-- but that wasn't particularly unusual for the ketucari she actually was, either. "Name's Kaede. And you?" she flashed a smile in the lights of the club.

A voice. Feminine, somewhere behind him and he turned just to be sure and... Yes. Blue eyes were fixed on him, set in a soft, yet boyish face. For a moment he was caught off guard by the flirt, left speechless and mute, before answering it with wide, toothy grin. "First time, actually." he reached up to push his bangs back between the slender horns rising from his brown. His sleeves--long, slightly puffy, settled off his shoulders to make room for his fins and show off his scales, glistened in dark merlot hues in the lights. Golden bands held his sleeves tight around his elbow and wrists.
A little old fashioned compared to what was usually found in Messus, but not at all out of place in the club.

He winked, tilted his head, and grinned with too many teeth. His own earrings, a pair of sharp fangs on golden chains, brushed his cheeks with the motion. "Call me Tristan. Aren't you just a beautiful flower, now? Are you just here to dance, or can I treat you to a drink?"

Kaede had watched this boy flirt his way across the club, but someone turning it back on him seemed to render him speechless for a moment. "Dancing is fun, but a drink and some good company is even better. Particularly if someone else's buying." she laughed. "You're quite the charmer. I'm sure you've got no trouble finding yourself some company?"

"What would you like?" he purred, dropping his hand. "And ah--one could say I'm... relatively popular." somehow he got the feeling that his bluster wasn't going to work here. "At least, back home. Haven't had much luck yet tonight. Maybe you can help me change that?" he suggested with another wink, breezing past her towards the bar. "Seriously though, what would you like? Don't worry about the price."

"Depends on how this night goes." she teased, watching him. He definitely wasn't a bad catch. The way he got flustered when she turned on the charm was endearing. "Mmm... I like sweet and fruity. Daqs are always good, if they've got them..." plopping herself down on the barstool with the amount of grace and dignity of a cat that had just found a particularly nice sunbeam.

Tristan slipped into the seat beside her, smirking. "I should probably mention that I do have a girlfriend, just... to make sure everything is out in the open, regarding expectations and all that." he streeeetched, lithe and catlike himself, hailing the bartender to request two daqs. "Virgin one for me please?--Thank you--She does know I'm here, I'm not doing anything bad, I swear. Just.. trying to get out more."

"I should also probably let you know that I have a boyfriend. ...He can be a little possessive, but not in the 'objects to me picking up cute guys in bars' sense." a light tease. "He's got a couple other mates himself, so we've both got a bit of an open ended relationship. ...If you're trying to get out more, though, there's plenty of places 'round here that I can show you. I live in the area."
She watched him stretch with obvious enjoyment, tapping fingertips on the bar. It was a good club, though she hadn't been here often enough to really say she knew the drinks menu.

Their drinks arrived a moment later. Tristan purred as he took his and took a swig of blended berry goodness, and flashed another smirk at the pretty kadin beside him. "I think I'd like that, Kaede. I think you and I are going to get along just fine."
