Pet portrait commissioned as a gift for someone who recently lost their dog, Bailey. This painting is based off of a particular photo, which holds fond memories of a day with Bailey. The original photo had a lot going on (tons of reflections, another dog in the background, etc), and I did a lot of editing and work to recreate the scene in a way that focused on Bailey.
This painting took weeks and weeks to complete, one of the most in-depth and longest-lasting paintings I've ever done!
What's even cooler is how the client presented it to her friend; she repurposed an old door and set the painting in the window area and created a unique one-of-a-kind desk. Here's a pic of it!
