Stainless Steel Double Spiral Locking Collar - For Sale by IchiBlack

Stainless Steel Double Spiral Locking Collar - For Sale

IchiBlack

Woo this has been sitting around unfinished for a long time so it was finally time to finish it!

This is a stainless steel locking collar done in a double spiral weaves, it's 17.5" long and is for sale for $60 with the lock or $55 without it.

This piece is done in 18g 1/4" rings so it's a bit more of a 'petite' piece, it'll be good for anyone that wants an understated collar.

Yaaa, I've talked to them about their pieces. The one's they sell are bulkier more like this one https://www.weasyl.com/submission/195397/squared-steel-double-spiral-locking-collar-for-sale

True, but still they are so much more expensive!

I notice a lot of maillers that work in only steel tend to price their stuff higher. It's also probably marked up because it's for sale in a shop where the shop needs to earn some money off the piece too.

True. I can understand that. But do they need to mark it up that much? Probably not.

            • Link

No but again, the mailler's themselves tend to mark their steel items higher since it's a pain to work in/with

Yeah. I just wish I had found you before I spent $300 on the two chainmail collars I got from Mr S Leather. :c

Oh damn ouch >.o Yaa, at least you got good quality items, I haven't been to Mr. S in a while but the last time I was there the collars were really well made

                  • Link

Oh yes! Very well made, and made from stainless steel. I can't complain about the quality. But the price... :c

Ya I only use stainless steel for these collars too

                      • Link

They probably made a bit thing of them being stainless steel to make them more attractive to buyers. Oh well. I am a natural saver and I now know about your work. ;)

Possibly, most places will since stainless won't rust and most people won't have a reaction to it

Ohhh... I must watch you, I like what you make!
