One day, on a trip to a costume shop, I found a weirdly familiar looking staff in a clearance bin. "Hmm.. it kindof looking like the staff the goat mage uses... though no floating crystal obviously... This would work perfectly for a cosplay". I would head to the cash register to pay for it. The cashier said that it has been there for a long while, but the original tag was missing, so they decided to let me have it for cheap. Excited, I headed home with it and inspected it, the top a golden sheen, the handle a bit rough, in need of a polish. I was interested, wanting to see how similar the staff was, so I took my phone and started up the game. After I loaded it, I looked closely at the goat mage, the very one I had set as my representative hero. He has always been trusty in battles, not the best, but always came through usually. I would look at his profile and inspected the staff in his hand, the staff having a similar golden sheen. "Yup, it's a dead ringer for it.", I would say, as I put the phone down and inspected the staff closely.

It felt nice in my hand, the smooth cold wood against my skin, when suddenly, I felt an odd tingle. I thought nothing of it at 1st, thinking it was just a regular wrist cramp. So I looked at the game again, and decided to strike the same pose as the goat mage. Suddenly, I would feel the tingling again, as I looked at my hand, I noticed my finger nails have grown larger. Not longer outwards, but inwards, covering my finger tips. I would panic a bit as I watched. My fingers where changing more, my fingers starting to fuse together, and my arm hair was growing thicker... no, not just my arm hair, my whole body was growing more, coming in brown. Suddenly, I would notice, my clothes felt a little loose... no only that, I was... shrinking? My legs felt wobbly as I held onto the staff for balance, my pants growing more loose as they sagged down, and my feet feeling weird, forcing me to stand on my toes as something poked from my soles. My face felt weird as well, as I touched my face with my changing hand. My face was growing longer, into a snout, and my ears where getting bigger as well. I would then feel a sharp pain in the top of my head as I reached up and felt a pair of horns growing.

As I looked up, I would notice the staff the and noticed something odd. There was a blue crystal was floating between the prongs of the staff, glowing above me. In a surprise, I dropped the staff as it fell to the floor. The shock of the fall made the crystal fall out as it bounced across the room. "That's probably not good..." I would look down at my body, I was now about 3 feet tall now... I was... a goat now? I would pick up phone again and tried to go to the camera, though it was hard to do with my fingertips being hard hooves now. I would reach down and grab my headphone cord and used it to trigger the touch screen, moving the camera to the front lens. Looking back at me was a goat, with brown fur and the familiar white star on the forehead. I would look down at the staff and the crystal on the floor.
"Well... uh... this is a problem..."
