This started off as a random sketch of Icarus that I decided to play around with, and I randomly decided to give him a Starfleet insignia/combadge.

As some of you may have gathered, I am a huge fan of Star Trek, and occasionally I come up with odd ideas and usually those ideas involve my characters in the Star Trek universe (Bahamut, Gene, and a few others have popped up here and there).
Interestingly enough, Icarus kind of popped up first in a Star Trek thought and started evolve into his own thing, heck part of his clothing is inspired by one of the uniform variants from Star Trek Online.

So, this idea randomly came up and I just had fun with it.

The combadge design is from the ‘alternate timeline’ as seen in the ‘Next Generation’ episode “All Good Things…”
