Something done for myself while working on other art that I need to get done. I decided to take the sketch of the GELF character I made and give him some color and give him some development as well.

This GELF is known as 'Enigma', a name he kind of picked up as he traveled around the galaxy; he was usually referred to as 'Hey you' or simply referred to by his color, but someone said that he "was a real enigma' and he liked the sound of it so he adopted the name.

Enigma seemed to be very fitting for the GELF since there is a lot unknown about him:

• His genetic make-up is a mystery: what has been confirmed is that he has 10% human DNA and about 40% Inquisi but the remaining percentage is of some unknown DNA.
• No one knows who is responsible for his creation; none of the major genetic companies seem willing to accept responsibility, so there is a chance that this could be the result of an individual project. If Enigma knows, he's not talking.
• While he does have a lot of similarities with other GELF (GELFs are constructed to essentially be invulnerable and immortal, as well as have something in their genetic makeup that creates the necessary nutrients to live, hence why they don't have a mouth), he does seem to posses a strange ability: if his paws are completely bare on a surface, his fur color actually changes color to act as a kind of camouflage, much like the Earth chameleon or the optic camouflage seen in 'Metal Gear Solid 4'. It's one reason why he wears sandals, to keep his fur color a constant color. This also raises the question about his default' color, no one is sure if the color was dyed like the other GELF or if it's a color he 'adopted'.

Enigma is kind of a 'jack of all trades', since he's been hopping around the galaxy, he has done odd jobs to pay for passage, room and board and such, so he has pretty much dabbled in everything imaginable, but he is far from being a master at any of them (although he does seem to have a slight interest in cooking, which is odd consider he can't eat).

Another oddity to him is his coat: he has quite a few pockets on the inside but they must be null time pockets (which act like bags of holding) because he seems to be able to stuff just about anything into the pockets and pull them out again. It is not uncommon for him to pull random stuff out at any time (this idea is influenced b many different ideas, such as the 4th Doctor from Doctor Who, the null time pocket inventory from 'The JourneyMan Project 2', Cyrano Jones' jacket from Star Trek's 'The Trouble With Tribbles').

While I had fun coming up with ideas for this character, the problem I find myself facing is that I don't know how this compares to the actual lore of the comic; for all I know some of these ideas wouldn't fly at all.
Well, in any case, I still had some fun with him.
