As Dusky kept playing the clarinet, an odd, rubbery substance began to leak from it, coating his hands in soft, sticky goo.

Yet despite this setback, Dusky could feel his clarinet music getting . . . better???

as the goo continued to spread, covering his mouth and face, the music began to improve, from broken, stilted notes to an increasingly haunting melody, that swam inside Dusky's ears and penetrated his mind. The tune was becoming so beautiful . . . and he was producing it!

The goo spread down his chest and over his legs, changing colors and forming pants, gooey pawpads, and a light-blue jacket, complete with oranate markings of the band he was joining.

Dusky's mind was becoming more and more intoxicated by his own melody, memories being lulled into nonexistence by the entrancing tune. The very essence of the song filled his mind, implanting itself in every fiber of his being. Despite his new, gooey fingertips, Dusky was playing the clarinet now with perfect ease, the goo guiding his hands and music directing his muscles.

Two long, pointed rubber ears sprouted on top of his head, and a large bulge of goo swelled between them, shaping and forming into a band member's oranate, decorative hat.

His tail was swarmed and enveloped with goo as the surrounding scenery began to change - the cavern rocks and darkness churning and dissolving into a clear night sky on a large, expansive grassy field. A dim, faint sound of an audience grows into a steady roar as the transformed dusky puts down his clarinet, the approving cheers and applause booming in from all sides - pounding out any remaining memories of his former self.

Both rubbery pleasure and pride surge through the newest member of the musician magician band as he joins his new bandmates, proudly displaying his new insturment as the band readys to play yet again!
