Ichigo and Brokey (original sketch by Jamarrie Millery on Twitter)

HoneyNutFemios

Ichigo was a character I made when I was in middle school while Brokey was made much later than Boxer and Atif. However, they're both very close now, being lovers and married. Ichigo was formerly a YuGiOh! GX OC but was rewritten to not be interested in card games or serious Lovecraftian shenanigans. She's now just a girl with family-based baggage.

LORE:

Ichigo is the youngest of three children in a patrilineal Demon Hunting family with her eldest brother, Suika Kuwabara left the family at 25 frustrated that his parents are forcing him into a role as the next Demon Hunter instead of wanting to live his life the way he wanted. Because of this, her eldest sister, Ryoko was made the new heir of the family's Demon Hunting legacy, with Ryoko at first excited she finally got to be the future head of her family's business. However, the less she has to wait, the more Ryoko learns that her job will be no picnic.

When Ryoko graduated high school, her graduation ceremony was interrupted by her first demon raid. While the Kuwabara family and a couple students and families were the handful of survivors of said Demon Raid, it made Ryoko become more militant on her demon hunting, leaving no prisoners or survivors and had her training even harder, even surpassing her father before her in his skills of killing demons.

Ichigo meanwhile was the only family member that didn't get any demon hunting training directly from her parents. She's only watched her sister. She often wondered what would happen if Suika stayed and would willingly take Ryoko's place as the leader, wishing Ryoko played with her instead. Ichigo, while she did get traumatized by the Demon Raid, seemed to have wondered if demons would ever want to get along with humans.

Meanwhile, Brokey Depeche (I finally came up with a surname for him after all this time) is an Incubus sold by his mother to a laboratory that does testing on demons. While Brokey was only a small child, he not only learned what an Incubus could do for humans, but he has learned that he has advantages over the other demons because while demons loathe this feature he has, humans can't resist an angelic face. Brokey has dealt with being 'tested for new drugs' by many of the scientists within the facility as well as bullying from other demons. When he first heard of the Demon Raid that failed to kill the Kuwabara family, he had love at first sight at a picture of Ichigo being shown in the picture still visible and with a kind smile.

This motivated Brokey to escape the lab and find her once he had his 18th birthday. When he did find her, Ichigo was also 18, and she was hoping to figure out what she is going to do with her life seeing she wasn't going to run a Demon Hunting facility like Ryoko. Brokey was finally able to meet Ichigo in person but like most love stories, there had to be a conflict. Ryoko tried to kill Brokey. He was a demon after all. However, Ichigo had to step in, saying that Brokey didn't try to hurt her. Angered that Ichigo stepped in to defend a Demon, Ryoko and Ichigo had their first verbal argument as sisters and it lead to a rift growing between them. To compromise, Ryoko decided to instead have Brokey locked up in a place where Ichigo can't reach him (but because Ichigo is frustrated with how her sister has been acting, Ichigo has been sneaking in to check up on Brokey and make sure he was okay). Ryoko's parents although proud that Ryoko reprimanded Ichigo for her actions was also concerned that what Ryoko did would become another runaway kid moment like what happened with Suika. Ryoko observed something different. She observed that Ichigo may have tuned in to an ability that no one in the Kuwabara family ever had before in their lives. She also discovered that Brokey was no ordinary Incubus.

When Boxer and Atif hired Ryoko to protect them at their own wedding, Ryoko decided that maybe Brokey needs to make a new step in order for him to finally be allowed to see Ichigo once more. That's when she decided to give Brokey the one-time offer most demons would fear a human would give them... To take the 'Moncalibus Elixir' and turn into a human. Brokey agreed, but hesitated not because it would mean he would never be able to fly again... but because it would mean he would have to do one last aphrodisiac in order to be with the one he loves. With Ryoko and Ichigo's parents finally accepting Brokey into the family again, and Ichigo finally being able to be close to Brokey, Ryoko would be ready to fight the demons at Boxer and Atif's wedding.

Unfortunately, while almost everyone in the ceremony survived, Ryoko's parents did not. The two of them tried to fend a Wrath demon, though this was one that happened to be the one that gave Brokey anguish the most. With Ryoko fueled by even more hatred for the demons, Ryoko teamed up with Brokey and Ichigo to avenge their parents and save the rest of the civilians from him. In the end, Ichigo has learned that not all the demons are dangerous but the ones that are seem to be linked to different warmongers that just so happen to be human. Ryoko realizes that the demons were summoned by warlocks and that the warlocks in question happened to be the scientists that tortured Brokey. Ryoko being enlightened to remember humans can be dangerous beings as well, Ryoko tells Ichigo that by reforming Brokey, Ichigo may become a Demon Tamer, a rare Demon Hunter with warlock-based talents if she decided to train on it hard enough. Ichigo confused on it has time to think about it but right now just wants to be with Brokey and be the lovey-dovey teenaged couple that they were hoping to be despite their own circumstances.

Unfortunately for Ichigo, her brother Suika came back into her life as a warlock trying to kill all her friends and personally make one of them in particular his non-consenting toy for his own personal amusement. Ichigo seems to be the only one stopping Suika from doing this psychologically but Ichigo has no clue as to why, especially seeing Suika has an open hatred for Ryoko up to this point and almost every other woman ever.
