Another set of cockatrice adoptables! Fresh from Wherwell Cockatrice Rescue, you can read about the rescue and the species over here. Each design is $12 USD for the fullsize png of the fullbody shown. For $25 USD this can be bumped to a full reference sheet including extra fullbody and several detail shots. If interested in either, just comment to claim.

That said, we currently have these ready for adoption:

  • #1- Betsy (claimed) - Betsy is a large, loud, gregarious cockatrice that thrives with lots of attention and in active environments. She’s good with children and sturdy enough for all the play that comes with, though one may need to teach care regarding her claws and scales. Nonetheless, she’s gentle despite her size and well-behaved despite her loud voice.
  • #2 - Einstein (claimed) - Einstein is a regular resident of the rescue’s rooftops and fenceposts, since his need to survey every single thing going on leaves him atop anything he can find (including, occasionally, the odd person’s head). He’s a little high-strung, and doesn’t take to being penned or held very well, but makes for an excellent shoulder buddy or yard guard.
  • #3 - Daisy (claimed) - Daisy is a small cockatrice, standing under a foot tall. She is loud, active, and always looking for something to get into and play with. She knows how to say “get off that” and “Daisy Duke”, both of which she says often. We recommend Daisy for active homes with children, or families that already have other cockatrix. We also recommend any enclosures Daisy may be placed in have very, very sturdy locks.
  • #4 - Clifford (claimed) - Clifford is an older and larger cockatrice, reaching about four feet tall when he stands up straight. He usually looks much smaller, though, as he is particularly skittish and easily startled. He was dropped at our rescue after his previous owner passed away, and we recommend a quieter home without children. He is extremely affectionate when he is comfortable, and thinks he’s a lapdog.
