So your comment got me thinking and I did some ridiculously quick tests, and I think you're very right about it being better centered. Lesson learned there!
And oooh I haven't heard this one.

I just figured since the figure and the door seemed to be the most important thing in this image they should be splat in the middle rather than anywhere else idk

Very atmospheric, I love when you create such a realistic environment that could easily be something anyone any day could experience. I can't help but want to hold something over that poor bird's head.

i know that comment is old but it actually looks better off center. Dead center is bad for most compositions.

good job man, I like the lighting effects and the puddles and rain (But that's probably because of my own lack of confidence in how I can do those). The signage and the figure seem a little off- I mean it kind of feels like they should be centered instead of slightly to the right, but it's not terribly uncomfortable the way it is right now though.
