In my vocational tech school, Advertising Design class, I was assigned to do the scratch board of a lion.
I must say, scratchboard is pretty tough stuff right there! It's like you could NOT make a mistake or else.
Originally it was black and white, but I added a color on photoshop.
If enough people in the comment demands for the original version, I will be glad to upload that picture by the next day. c:

Nicely done, scratch board is not an easy surface to work with, I haven't done one for ages!!
Hmm as for any crit, I would say that it seems like his butt is too small lol, well it looks like you were having trouble trying to fit him in the space you were given. I also think that the fur on his back needs to be more consistent with the rest of the mane. not that it should be filled with lines but that were the mane ends and his back begins it looks more like lumps rather then individual hairs (which you drew on the front half of the mane)/
I really like his face though :)
