Even at a good party some respite, off to a quiet place to breathe and recollect oneself, is welcome. Even better if you find someone you want to bring into that space with you, to share and cherish it together, a moment of silence where everything else but the couple fades away. The rain wasn't going to stop them from getting time to themselves. If anything, it brought them closer together, shoulders gently leaning together, tails delicately curling about each other. They could vanish into the rain for all they cared, just the two of them and the gentle patter. Here was all they needed.
