Bio:
She grew up with only a father.
Marshal G. Hunter, who was an inventor and former Marine.
He helped out the small village they lived in, even if it turned out to be a bit troublesome sometimes.
He took her on many travels and taught her a lot about his inventions.
She became interested in inventing and building because of him.
Despite working a lot, he still found time to teach and play with his daughter.
He was a very loving father.

One day, a bunch of trouble making pirates invaded their peaceful village.
They had heard about Marshal and followed him back to the village, in hopes to get him to join their crew and invent new weapons for them.
He refused, he left that life when he stopped being a marine, he didn't want to invent things to hurt and kill, he only wanted to help people.
They didn't like his answer and decided to shoot him and leave him for dead.
Sena had been hiding in a near by closet and witnessed the whole thing.

Marshal, with his last bits of life, told Sena to eat the devils fruit he had and that it would protect her.
He had found a devil's fruit on one of his travels and studied it a bit.
She did, with tears streaming down her face.
With that, the only family in her life was gone.
The village helped to bury him along with others in the village that had been lost due to the pirate pillaging.

After grieving for a while, she decided to take up his work and research and study it.
She wanted to become a great inventor too and help people, just like her father.
So she set out on the sea by herself, small yet unafraid of what was in front of her.
She knew she had to see more of the world if she wanted to become a great inventor like her father, she needed new materials and new connections.
Making herself a small boat with a small motorized fan she managed to cobble together out of the left over materials in her father's work shed.

She had come to hate pirates too.
That was until the strawhats found her and helped her.
She had run out of food and water, not being truly prepared for a long journey across the wide ocean in just a tiny boat with little supplies.
They fed her, made her laugh, and kept her warm.
She cried and yelled, all of her anger and sadness coming out.
Pirates weren't supposed to be this nice, to feel this much like a home, this much like a family.

Luffy just smiled and told her to join him.
She couldn't go back to her tiny boat, it wasn't enough, she underestimated by a wide margin.
Thinking hard and long about pirates,her father,herself,her goals, she finally agreed and thus how she became a strawhat pirate.
