Local officials are calling this the ‘Storm of the Century’ with death tolls climbing by the hour…

…Xiphos Parliament has declared a State of Emergency, suspending the upcoming election and its affiliated functions…

…Government response has been sluggish at best and those accountable for NDMS are being maligned in the afflicted areas…

“This caught us by complete surprise,” said Mayor Klein, “But we are doing our best to assist those survivors of this atrocity.”…

…Is the government truly doing all it can? Reports state that there haven’t even been established refugee camps on the disaster’s periphery or in cold zones.

More on this story as it develops at 11.

I’m so glad that I didn’t listen to the Board. Turning this into a brand awareness event would have earned the company unneeded infamy. Besides, it always feels that much more rewarding to provide succor without planning on receiving something in return. Some call that juvenile altruism. I call that civility. Deployment was done via stealth transport at around 8 PM yesterday. ‘Twas a small grouping of me, a few barcoded iterations tailored specifically to the monumental task at hand and a few meteorologists who were deathly curious about what caused this spontaneous super cell to propagate. Setup was relatively smooth, actually! …Well, in comparison to sifting through debris to find survivors wedged under and betwixt them. We walked away from a full day of search and rescue with eighteen individuals in moderate to critical condition. Hell, even some of the scientists ended up hurting themselves which… Well, I told them explicitly that it would be an extraneous work hazard and I could collect data for them, but they were adamant! If they’re expecting Workman’s Comp, they’re in for a rude awakening. Thank God I had enough cots. Either way, I managed to accomplish more in one day than the entire dispatch of NDMS covered in the four days since the storm subsided. I think that’s worth a small pat on the back, but my job here is far from over. Tomorrow brings more rummaging through rubble and possibly a few more injured - which means my bedside manor needs to be impeccable. So yeah, I’ll need my sleep.

I heard that Grandville’s have always had the tendency to intervene when they feel that something isn’t being done that SHOULD be done. Originally, I didn’t think moral drive was genetic, but hey – maybe it is!

END OF LINE.

Sometimes, it’s better to use your abilities for good rather than just to look awesome or show off! We’ve got clones, fabricating H2O, cooking by ways of matter displacement – the works! And they’re all dedicated to a good cause. Now, this isn’t a slackivism piece or anything of the sort – just an exhibition that I’m far from one track minded.
