Since the issue is coming out now, I'm allowed to post the final versions. In the first drawing, the sheep dogs make the mistake of trying to make it seem like their herd of sheep has more black sheep than white sheep by roping off two black sheep and one white sheep, and thus their selection isn't "representative" of the whole. Wikipedia has explanation for the Gambler's Fallacy, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler%27s_fallacy and the fairies hitting the roulette ball around represent luck determining where the ball stops.
