Another drawing I'm doing for Skeptic Magazine. http://www.skeptic.com/ Since the issue I drew for isn't out at the time of this posting, I can't yet post the final drawings. However I am allowed to show off some of my WIPS. This roulette wheel is for a little cartoon illustrating the "Gambler's Fallacy," http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler%27s_fallacy which is the misperception that a chance event is "due" to occur at some time.

This is to show the perspective work that went into this, and I got quite messy with my perspective lines towards the end. But all this was to make sure the wheel looked correct. The wheel started off looking really simple and then I tried to make the inside more detailed, going with two different designs. I had a really hard time trying to get all sections of the roulette in perspective, so at first I only had a few segments. But then once I figured out how to divide the roulette in the right way, I added more segments. And since the drawing is shrunk down, details like putting numbers inside the wheel are omitted. So if you happen to pick up the May/June issue of Skeptic magazine, expect to see some art from me in there!

Man, that came out nice though. I need to use perspective lines more.
