In memoriam of an amazing magician, James Randi, Aug 7, 1928 - Oct 20, 2020. He's been an inspiration to me, encouraging skeptical thinking and an openness to learn. His videos where he challenges psychics, faith healers, and other "woo-woo" artists are good lessons in thinking critically and being wary of claims that sound too-good-to-be-true. This video clip might be of interest again since Uri Geller recently made the news apologizing for making Nintendo ban the Pokémon Kadabra for being too similar to him. I can only imagine how Randi would have reacted. Probably would just have a good laugh.

Anyway, it's been a looooong time since I last tried to do a shaded drawing of a human subject like this. I don't think I've done a drawing like this since maybe art college? Hopefully I'm not out of practice.
