Project D.E Armor: PX LD500 Mk III EV

GTHusky

It's now time to turn the vibe around and show the heroic side of the fluffy Evo boy. LAs time I redesigned D.E's armor, I was pleased, but there was something that didn't make me feel 100% satisfied. I love the design of the older armor (and I dare to say I like it more than this new version), but there was something that bothered me, and that was the mobility. There were various parts of the armor that made it seem uncomfortable and downright just block natural movement.

Evos are known for being very agile and strong, and I needed to highlight that, by giving them an armor that aided their natural flexibility, instead of inhibiting it for the sake of protection. their agility itself would play a bigger part on protecting them from attacks, rather than relying entirely on a hard piece of armor. I have reduced the area of solid Lantracite (fictional synthetic metal from my universe), separated the gaps and added a secondary material for added protection.

Materials can be identified by their color: Bright and reflective blue for the solid Lantracite pieces (there are a few silver, black and darker blue ones too), black and red for the reinforced PX compound (a strong impermeable fabric with mild ballistic properties, similar to Kevlar. Capable of keeping the armor pressurized on zero atmosphere) and a new matte blue material, which is also PX, but with an added Lantracite weaving. All this should give the user the same level of protection of the previous armor, but with an exponentially increased flexibility.

And last, the most notable part: The helmet! I finally drew the freaking helmet. And what a pain it was. However, I am pleased that it does look how I've imagined it this whole time.

I've worked really hard on this. It might still not be perfect, but at least it covers some logical plot holes that always bothered me from the old armor. Also, I did work extra hard to keep the same overall look, even though most of it is completely different.
