Imitation Challenge: Wink by Groods

Imitation Challenge: Wink

Groods

Trying out wink wink's style because it is good.
I figure as Critters in Jezebel Holler, Neetch would be pretty weak at witchcraft and Lu would be really strong, so they work together. They probably live in a little ramshackle hut and make moonshine and sandwiches, while Neetch tries to write stories with her zero life experiences to draw from.

I think your pointy-egg-shaped-birdface style suited them really well haha, so cute.
And of course the photographic forest backdrop was important!

Haha, heck yeah! Here's an embarassing secret... Lester's head is shaped like that because... He was originally a Fraggle Rock OC i invented when I was a lil kid!

Hahahaha, that actually makes a lot of sense! But it still works. It's neat when characters you have as a kid manage to survive and find their way into your current work. Lu on the right there is kiiinda a character I've had since I was about ten or eleven years old. But back then she was a bird-person-alien who had arms and was a soldier in outer space. So more or less the same.

Ohmygosh, I know! I love how characters grow and change with ya. It's super rad!

I loove to go back and pull up old characters. I rarely post them when I do though hahaha

"while Neetch tries to write stories with her zero life experiences to draw from"
      excellent characterization

Totally not based on real life nuh uh

        • Link

That is sort of paradoxical then.

I love to think about Jezebel Neetch sitting at a ghostly typewriter and thinking "oh shoot, what are things stories can be about - i see leaves here, this story is about leaves now."

            • Link

"The leaves blew off the tree and went into the gully. They did that spinny thing as they fell that is kinda like a tornado."

"Chapter 2: now it's about dirt"

                • Link

"Dirt is dirty and smells like dirt. Worms live in it. Sometimes other bugs. Most of the time they do, actually. Not all bugs do, though. I mean, some live on plants. There were lots of bugs in this dirt, though, I tell ya what."

Time to send this one out to publishers. Which probably means set it on fire in the middle of a pentagram.
