I like the dark striped pattern, though it's a little messy. The lighter lines definitely look messy and random, you'd be better off just leaving them out altogether, and making the line art a little tighter, maybe add some lineweight; thicker along the shadow side of the figure, maybe the outline, then thinner on the lit side and for the details.
