Gon’ E-Choo! Strip 29 - The only parts of the universe that have the remotest chance to care about you are other people. Also, you didn’t go to the sort of schools I did if the prospect of freedom from it for three months did not make you ecstatic enough that you’d hug an alligator.
There’s a stealth homage to an earlier project of mine here in the last two panels, but the chances are very slim you'd know it.

I don't know, any kind of school make me ecstatic enough to hug dangerous reptiles when I get even two weeks of vacation.

I've gotten interesting mixed responses to this comic. Some people react with noting that the otter seems 'out of character' while others buy the otter's unusually friendliness due to relief from school. Seems about half-and-half. Either way, the out-of-sequence Sunday may shed light on this, as will the strips to follow.

I'm kind of crashing through the party right now since I've just started reading your strips, but looks like that otter hangs out with hobogator quite a lot, ain't it? So, how could it be so "out-of-character" that he shows friendliness from time to time? Oh well...We'll see next strip... lurks
