Personality.} Joshua is rather intelligent and kind, and was a very caring ruler when he was on the throne. However he has a bit of a naughty side to him at times, especially when he's near his mate.

Bio.} Joshua was the first born son of Elena and Thalian Elsar. He was groomed from an early age to be the first emperor of the Goldenwing Empire, being given the best education he could receive through his childhood. When he became of age, he was arranged to marry a Goldenwing princess named Rhea, much to the disappointment of his youngest brother Julian. Once Joshua was wedded to Rhea, he would take the throne as emperor of the empire. Joshua would have two children with Rhea: a daughter named Kassidy and a son named Koodaray.

One day, an enemy to the empire would invade and take Joshua by surprise. Joshua's wife was murdered right in front of him, and his eyes were burned out right after, the sight of his wife's death being the last thing he saw. Needing time to recover, Joshua retired as emperor and gave the throne to his daughter. He secluded himself away from everyone else while he mourned.

Years later after the empire fell from the Goldenwing war, Joshua would return to reclaim the throne after the castle was rebuilt. His reign was short lived however when he became distracted by a young Goldenwing maid named Lynette, paying more attention to catching up with feelings of love rather than taking care of the empire. He would eventually be dethroned by his father, passing the throne on to Koodaray instead.

Other.} After Joshua was dethroned by his father, he went on to get his eyes healed by the apothecary. He has no need for the blindfold anymore, as he can now see once again.
