A photo of my Mini Australian Shepherd Dexter, exhibiting his usual expression and personality. He's a handful, but I love him to pieces!!! I raised him from a pup so he's kind of species confused, and has some traits of being a cat mixed in with those dog genes. Good god let him hear a cat walk by and he's off chasing them around the house.
Best dog ever. Never knew how smart Aussies were compared to Shelties. He's a genius. I swear his IQ is higher than mine.
Not to mention I think he's a mini because there was some Pom bred into him, he has tiny little stick legs, a big head, and a floofy body - but the mind and reflexes of an Aussie through and through!!

OMG! I didn't know your Mom had a mini aussie! That is so cool! I didn't even know they existed until we got Dexter. He's 4 too! What a coincidence, if only we lived closer they could play and be little boy and girlfriends, lol. Dex is really hyper but also timid too and sensitive to people and their tones, he hides under a table or the bed if anyone raises their voices too! Dex is so part cat, I always blamed it on how I raised him, since I raised him as a puppy around all my cats, lol… he paws at things and does the hidey cat thing but that's crazy yours does too! Maybe it's a trait of the breed!! But I swear Dex isn't a full mini aussie… we got him from a puppy mill type of place… and he has a pointy nose, and super skinny legs and tiny feet, and a little head and fat body, I swear I think he's part Pom. If he was all Aussie he'd have a rounder muzzle and thicker legs… or so I would think? Does yours??? OMG I CAN TALK ABOUT DOGS FOREVER ARF ARF!!! HI I <3 YOU

Mini aussies are little balls of energy for sure! My mom has a little girl (well she's 4 but little) named Ivy she's a blue merle and is super hyper but is also really
timid.. She even gets scared when anyone raises their voice for any reason and hides under my mom's bed like a cat XD But yeah mini aussies are awesome!
