Holy cow. This one took a lot of time to do. And this one was a lot of hard work. Yep, if you can't tell, this was inspired by Rise of the Triad and the gas trap rooms in the original game. And I decided to include our heroes, the Excalibatters in this situation. I had to use the Spriters Resource website to make the missile weapons that the Excalibatters have and gameplay footage to make the door and room or as close to it as possible. Whenever I find something really interesting in the game, I have to draw it. Like the gas trap rooms or the Overpatrol enemies who shoot nets at the player to restrain them. Like I said, there needs to be more fanart of this game. And I always wanted to play this and the other retro style FPS games. Appropriately enough, the tune I listened to while making this is "Gazz!" from the ROTT soundtrack. And what music should be playing before "Gazz!" hits when the gas fills the room? I would imagine "CCCool" would be playing. I also bet that someone would write a story about what's happening in this picture both before and after this. And I'm still looking for people to join the Excalibatters. And I think I might've found a few who would fit in. And I wonder who would also be a stand in for El Oscuro? I wonder who would be a proper opponent for this crew of heroes?

The Excalibatters are on the search for treasure in the San Nicolas Island monastery. They fight their way through and enter a room with a red key. They are excited.
GF - "Hey, that's the Oscuro key! I bet that must lead to the treasure.
S - "Nice!
L - "You better grab it Suule."
Suule grabs the key, but triggers a trap. Gas fills the room.
L - "Gasp! What's happening?!"
GF - "It's a gas trap!"
S - "Darnit! I knew it was too good to be true!

The one thing that concerns me is the nature of this picture. Since this is based of Rise of the Triad, I feel that this picture is going to get taken down due to the symbols and gas that is seeping into the room. In case anyone is wondering, yes this DOES happen in the game. There are gas masks that allow you to breathe and increase your chance of surviving in the gas trap rooms. So they will be fine. The gas masks are off-screen. So Ghostfox will get them to save her teammates. But that's enough, I did have some fun making this picture. I don't like how Suule looks in the first panel, but I like how he looks in the third panel. I like drawing Suule when he's angry or annoyed. He is a fun character to draw. And I also had fun drawing Latch as well. So I hope you enjoy it. And I would like for someone to write a story for this picture.
