This one was quite an interesting one to draw. This was inspired by the classic video game "Rise of the Triad," a game that I always wanted to play. And it's one game that made me want to do this picture and think of what Ghostfox would have in her inventory and arsenal of weapons. I would like to envision her as a boomer-shooter heroine. A heroine with one-liners, a huge arsenal of weapons, an inventory of items, a skill tree, and of course the most important aspect of boomer-shooter heroes, speed. I think she fits that role pretty well since she is a martial artist and an expert in guerrilla warfare and other things that I can't mention. I need to think of some original weapons and inventory items for her. But I think it would be an easter egg weapon for her. But I would like for the Excalibat to have more than just launching magical baseballs. I would like for it to be able to deflect projectiles back at enemies and be able to emit an energy shield to protect its user. And also, I highly recommend you go and check out Civvie 11, who has some really amazing videos on many old-school shooter games, including Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Rise of the Triad, and many others. And it's thanks to him, I would love to play these games again and some of the ones that I never played. And I also listened to the best thing about ROTT, which is the music. Ghostfox was walking around a forest when she saw a really mysterious-looking baseball bat. "What the heck is this?" She says as she approaches the bat. "This does not look normal." She picks up the bat and starts swinging it. A magical baseball goes flying and hits a rock. "Holy cow, this is interesting. This must be the Excalibat. Pinch me, I must be dreaming!" Ghost grins mischievously and thinks of what she needs to say. She leaves the forest, enters a batting pose as if she was ready to strike a baseball and says, "Batter up!" and "Three strikes, you're out!" And she finally says, "Now, who wants to be struck out?"

Technical:
I didn't have much trouble with this one. I had to find a good pose for Ghostfox holding the bat. So I went to a baseball website and found a photo of the pose I wanted to put her. The only problem I have is that her legs and feet are bigger than normal. But it doesn't look too bad. However, finding a picture of the Excalibat was a different story. I went to Steam and looked for a picture of the Excalibat and I found it as some sort of replacement mod for Serious Sam 3. And the Excalibat she uses in this picture is the ROTT 2013 Excalibat. And I hope if they make a new Rise of the Triad game, which is probably very unlikely, they give the Excalibat more abilities than just launching magical baseballs and being a melee weapon. It would've been cool. But other than that, I did well with this picture. And I thought about drawing other characters wielding the Excalibat. If so, who would like to wield this ROTT weapon? And one more thing, who has the rights to Rise of the Triad? I would like to assume Apogee or 3D realms still does.
