Winter Wonderland by Ghostbear

Winter Wonderland

Ghostbear

Snow. Tons and tons of it.
Rushing through breakfast the little bear was pretty bouncy until he finally got dressed in his warm and thick snowsuit. Just before he went outside to play in the snow he grabbed his favorite plushie Sammy, even if the stuffed lynx seemed to be a bit sceptical about the cold white blanket that covered the world.
Placing the plushie safely on his sled Ghosty grinned at his companion.
"Don't be such a wuss. I'm sure you'll like it. Besides, I need your help in building the biggest snowbear ever. Remember our seesaw in the summer? You did great."
That did seem to calm Sammy down and together they headed out on the sled. Or better ... the bear did pull the sled all the way, because the lynx remained seated on the sled and refused to even stick one paw out into the snow.
Arriving at a promising spot the little bear began building, rolling up massive balls of snow, stacking them up and decorating them with some pieces of charcoal. Time flew bye but with Sammy's advice the result really looked a bit like a giant, plump bear, bigger than the little ursine himself.
He beamed at his companion.
"What do you think? It's great, isn't? Told you it will be fun."
The plushie seemed to disapprove of the head of the snowbear, so Ghosty reached up and tried to adjust the big ball of snow a bit. Suddenly the head started to slide off. Sascha did his best to stop it, pawing frantically at the snow, but the heavy weight and the height was too much and all he archived was that the head was now sliding into his direction instead.
A startled mew was everything the young bear hybrid got out, before the ball of snow impacted on his head, sending cold snow into his collar and down his snowsuit.
"Meeeeeeow"

As he toppled backwards into the soft snow he swore he could hear his plushie friend giggle.

Awesome winter themed commission, done by the highly talented and very friendly kampfkewob kampfkewob
I think she did a marvelous job, even if I probably was her first bear and the very first cub. Really love how she did the shading and lighting ... and how she managed to capture the playful innocence of my little bear in his bulky snowsuit.
Thank you so very much for that adorable picture. ^_^
