Sascha was playing happily in his room. After some drawing he grabbed his stuffed lynx Sammy and continued to play with some building blocks. His concentration was fading away fast, as it was nearly bedtime for the little bear-lynx hybrid.
"Hey Champ..." his stepfather called from the door. "...it's getting late. I think you should get ready for bed. Can you manage on your own, big boy or shall I help you dress in your bedtime clothes?"
"Nuuhuu, I'm not tired ..." was the response, followed almost immediately by a long yawn and Ghosty almost misplaced one of the building blocks as he was struggling to stay awake. "I'm not a baby, I'm a big boy ... I dun wanna go to sleep yet."
"Uhuh..." grinned his stepdad, knowing all too well that he would have to scoop up a fast asleep little ursine in a couple of minutes, get him changed, dressed in his sleeper and put to bed. Boys will be boys after all...
