After defeating the dangerous beast chasing him through the city ruins the young freelancer stopped and took a few deep breaths.
Finally it was over. No more running, no more hiding. He was victorious.
With a cheeky and slightly presumptuous look on his face he sheathed his weapon of choice, a razor sharp polymer katana blade.
A little rumbling in his tummy however suddenly threw him back into reality.
Throwing his plastic toy sword on his brightly colored bed he picked up his beloved plushie.
The lynx seemed to glower at bit at him, faux fur in slight disarray from the playful "fight".
"Aww, don't look at me like that, Sammy. You did great. You make a very good beast, you know." Cuddling the lynx closely and giving him a gently kiss on the nose he added "But I love you even more as my companion.
C'mon ... let's grab something to eat. You must be hungry too... "

From drawing into a sketchbook, doing a quick sketch for another person and agreeing on this commission in a matter of .. minutes. Right at the table at the artists lounge.
