"Come here." Softly the teenage bear wrapped his paws around his little brother, pulling him onto the subway grating where warm gushes of air were rising into the cold winter's night, every time a train came through. "It might smell a bit, but at least it's warm."
Shivering the little feline snuggled up with his bro. His pink HelloKitty sweater was about two sizes too big for him and already stained in several places, but warmer than the clothes he had worn before. The bear had shoplifted the sweater several nights ago.
"Everything will be alright ... I promise" Ghosty whispered into Kurai's ear. "Everything will be alright!"
With a sigh the freelancer propped himself up at the wall, shivering in the cold as well.
'All right?' He had no idea how he should make things right again.
