Feline the Persocom by GemCandy

Feline the Persocom

GemCandy

I received this character from a free adoptable sheet and I wanted her because I haven’t had a screenhead OC before.
I’ve named her Feline and you do not pronounce it like the Latin word for cat, it’s a female name here where I come from, you kinda pronounce it like ‘Fay-lie-nuh’. You pronounce the ‘lie’ part like the ‘ry’ at the end of ‘library’, but with a ‘ly’ instead of ‘ry’.
If you need to hear it spoken to you, go to google translate, change the language to Dutch, write in ‘Feline’ and press the little speaker icon.

I really do not like how her tail came out…but I don’t wanna fix it at the moment.

Her background is that she’s a very retro designed Persocom (Chobits anyone?) including all the software from the beginning times of computers, which was a big mistake on her designers end, because she was unable to keep up with the new developing software, she doesn’t even have any USB ports on her, so her owner quickly dumped her after removing all of her software. She was then found by me and I’m trying to carefully update her, starting by giving her just a standard software inplug that makes her able to start up, but I’m unable to yet understand her, because she speaks in a language that I am not able to decipher, it’s like some kind of weird wing dings type of speech, but it’s not like any kind that Word offers. She doesn’t have any speakers, so what she says appears on her face. She’s very good at sitting in a corner of the room with her tail plugged into a wall socket, recharging her probably very limited batteries.
The thing I have learned is that these icons do match the English language, like when she pointed to a passing dog, three icons appeared on her face, so I’m slowly matching the icons she shows to the letters of our own alphabet.
For now, I’m just trying to make her feel positive emotions and trying to make her fit in this year instead of wherever her old owner tried to make her come from.
