Cardboard Bot Twitter Takeover by Geezerkiddo

Cardboard Bot Twitter Takeover

For my final project in my design class back in 2013. I made a cardboard robot suit! The whole thing turned out pretty well, especially the helmet, considering the fact that it's all just cardboard and hot glue. The whole class ended up loving this thing. We decided to have some fun with it, and a few of the classmates decided that I should go parading around the campus with it on, as the followed and watched me do my thing. We had our kicks and giggle's with it, but the next day, turned out I was making splashes on the school's unofficial twitter account with the suit! I didn't (and still don't have one at this point) have a twitter account, and we joked about how I still end up on twitter anyway.

I still have the helmet up to this day, and it's survived pretty well, and it still see's action on rare occasions too. Though, the chest piece has fallen apart a long time ago.

I thought about taking really good photo's of it, to exhibit it professionally on the internet, but in the end, I decided not to. The pictures you see in the tweets give you a good enough idea of what it looked like. It's presents on twitter just seems more fitting for the attitude of the suit, than just just taking good pictures of it. Even though the helmet itself looks really good in person and it took a lot of effort, I'm putting it in scraps. The whole thing is something I really enjoy, but it's not something that I feel needs to be presented as much on the internet. The true fun of it is in real life. Plus, it may lead to bigger and better things.
