I consider Geno's fluffy redesign to also be a reboot of his character. He's kind, he's caring, he's a college professor. But a few things haven't changed! He still likes to sit on people, he loves to eat, and... he does some secret science in his free time. What kind of science? I'm sure we'll see eventually.

This is the hazmat suit he wears in the lab. A lot harder to put on than the old lab coat, but way more practical. He almost looks ready to explore other planets.
