Luftzerstorer Tempest by Gazerfoxie

Luftzerstorer Tempest

Gazerfoxie

Design model built in second life of the 'Rose Baron's battle zeppelin, the experimental aerial destroyer Tempest.

Formerly a ship of His Imperial German Majesty's aerial navy, her skipper refused to turn the ship over to the Entente powers after the armistice, unwilling to hand over the advanced technology of her experimental gas turbine propulsion.

The ship and her crew now operate as a Free Ship; trading, raiding, selling their service as privateers(or pirates, depending on who you're asking)

That's pretty cool! An early interwar period dieselpunk design is interesting to see. I've done some craft designs myself, mostly for a series of dieselpunk novels I wrote.

Dieselpunk certainly doesn't seem to attract as much love as steampunk, but the interwar period really was an interesting time for aviation, particularly airships.

Well, my first dieselpunk book did pretty well. It's called Basecraft Cirrostratus btw.

My inspiration was Larry Correia's Hard Magic
