Miqua, Alun of Water by FuzziMutt

Miqua, Alun of Water

FuzziMutt

Headworld stuffs. 2 of 5 of my Pantheon of demi-gods, centering around main character Soleia, the Herald of Light.

Lady Miqua, Alun Essence of Water

The eldest of the five Natori-Alun, she was first to join the ranks of the Natorian Council long ago; and is revered for her kind and cool demeanor. As a well-aged Alun — discernible by her extra oyome and rather aquatic features — her word is greatly respected among the Council and throughout the people. She has, however, grown tired of the red-taped bureaucracy that the Council has become over the centuries and often withdraws; preferring only to take a stand for what she believes is best.

She takes position as a diplomat; not only for the Council, but also among the Alun. Her wisdom and penchant for pacifism even in the most turbulent of times make her a rather motherly figure to the four [slightly] younger beings. She is the only one who encourages Soleia's non-conformist ways, seeing only a free spirit — not the "threat" that the Council officials often deem her to be.

Miqua, being an elemental of Water, has many aquatic traits. Her Patron Beast, or Yajato is naturally the Fish, and thus her other forms (since Alun are able to take many) are aquatic-themed. The human legend of the Mermaid is likely to have begun with an Alun of Water in the past, and she is known to prefer her mermaid form in informal company.
