Terry managed to run into Rose at a bar while Donavik was on his little field trip with a deer. This isn't the first time they've met (as evidenced by previous works), but this time rose was caught well off her game drowning in liquor. Instead, she opted to opening up, bitching about her wings and inverted sclera color, and how it came to be.

She volunteered for anthro experimentation for money back when she was desperate many years ago. After becoming horribly sick from it she was legally opted out, and all of her money ended up going to her medical bills. Once the nukes dropped, exposure to radiation caused a violent reaction with the still contaminated cells in her body, causing her to sprout wings as well as cause other issues all over her body. She blames herself for it.
