Outwardly, Pi comes across as surly and unfriendly, and the fact that he doesn't speak a whole lot adds to this impression. He's a bit of a brooder and can be way too serious at times, but underneath all that his hearts in the right place. Once you dig under all that general disgruntlement, you'll find someone who's very dependable and loyal to a fault.

He's quick to grin, but a genuine laugh is harder to illicit, so when it does happen, it is usually accompanied with a look of genuine surprise.

He can be very blunt at times, and lacks a lot of tact when it comes to most social interactions. He doesn't do a very good job of hiding what he's feeling which makes him an awful liar, particularly to those that are close to him. He's very very careful with himself (physically) around those he likes, as he constantly worries about inadvertently hurting them.

However, Pi won't hesitate to throw his weight around if things become physical, and generally you've drawn the short end of the stick if he decides you've bothered/upset him enough to warrant a sound thrashing. Pi has some issues when it comes to aggression/anger as well as some issues with anxiety due to past traumatic events, and does his best to cope, often with the assistance of quiet gardening or petting his cat.

Pi feels very strongly about almost everything, but covers it up with indifference and neutrality (and a liberal dose of sarcasm). You can imagine he's all kinds of awful at making friends.

Pi's grew up on an external reserve (away from the main human cities/population of mostly Rasa) and spent most of his early life there, eventually taking an interest in machinery and becoming a mechanic. Conditions were pretty shitty, but generally most of the inhabitants got along well and there was not a great deal of conflict.

In his early twenties, the reserve was suddenly ordered to be cleared and demolished to make way for human construction, and the residents were to be transported away into mandatory service of a organisation/corporation. In protest of the changes, Pi hijacked the airship bearing the majority of the members of the reserve and flew it away from the area, escaping the authorities.

After a messy landing, Pi parted ways with the rest of the rescues and spent the next year moving from reserve to reserve. He spent a number of months foraging on the edge of one of the human cities, and it was there that he stumbled into a 'hunting party' of humans and was captured. He was forced into an illegal fighting ring, where he was matched up against a number of competitors, and humans were free to watch and bet on the matches. Fights were strictly on a Rasa vs Rasa basis and were almost always to the death. Pi spent an upward of 6+ months imprisoned there under the supervision of his 'handler', eventually escaping with the assistance of the human medic who was assigned to tend to his wounds after the conclusion of each match.

A few months after recovering from his injuries (with the medic's assistance _{wink wink}), Pi was contacted by the Deity and offered a chance to free the Rasa still trapped at the ring, as well as seek retribution for all that had happened. A temporary merge with the omnipotent being allowed Pi to do just that, releasing all the Rasa confined there (and allowing them to wantonly murder most of the people there), and killing his handler in the process. However, Pi overdrew on the Deity's power reserve, and as a result lost control/caused damage to some parts of himself. Now, Pi's right eye flickers between his normal eyesight and 'Deity Vision' which, while it allows him to view things at a 'spiritual' level (aether view), causes him intense migraines from time to time. There are also other side effects that are not immediately obvious to Pi, but will become so with time.

After this incident, Pi decided that he could no longer continue the relationship he currently had, and so fled the city and his human companion, seeking a fresh start. After travelling rough for a month or two, he stumbled into one of the larger reserves which was doing pretty well for itself, and decided to stay there for some time. It is there that he met Jordash, and decided to settle down for the time being. He offers his services for unsavoury and often illegal jobs, using the proceeds to feed his cat, tend to his army of tiny plants as well as shower his girlfriend in numerous gifts.
