An example of one of my recent experiments in art, trying to simulate transluscency. I might not have the best method of it, and it's hardly something that I'd call "the best" method, but I feel very proud of my outcome
Why?
because the entire time I felt i was failing
i was doing something terrible
this looks disgusting
how the fuck
EW
NO
i give up im just gonna do opacity
etc
I didn't, I continued doing something nobody gave me any advice on and it came out looking fantastic, and ive received a lot of great feedback on this particular part of the design too.
So as an open letter to everyone, and to myself when im trying to do new things im uncertain of
its not time wasted. Even if DOES suck by the end result, you can't know until it's done.
Try, give it a genuine hope, and you just might surprise yourself
