Basically I wanted to draw a romantic figure, a naked man. Now Aquarius is the water bringer but the elemental signature it falls under is air which is most interesting. I wanted to give it a lighter then air appearance. Naked seemed to fit from the common "let it air out" let air get to it" comments deriving to nakedness. Pretty meek as explanations go for word play and verbal expressions that come to mind. Saying that, the "water bringer" or "water barer" really kept me thinking a few things, some things not really connected but similar is spelling or close proximity to meanings in the English language? "Barer" - bare naked? Oops...

"Water bringer" connected me to the Rain dances used in many cultures to appease the rain gods or water gods to feed their crops and revitalise/replenish the earth after droughts. A man bringing the rain overlooking the earth or seemingly so. Then gods and air, it seemed pretty much a fluid connection if you'll pardon the pun.
