Very nice! The character has an overall simple design, but when you glance over the little details all at once, you begin to realize that this leopard's simplicity is surprisingly refreshing--much like snow, if I may add!

I'm referring to 3 details in particular: his attire, his pose and his facial expression (which add up to a wonderfully charismatic character). I like how his outfit isn't too flashy--in color or design; it doesn't demand too much attention and instead highlights the character's natural color scheme, as well as the thick tuft of fur on his chest. Though he's just standing, his pose feels very dynamic: the stylishly raised arm, the subtle bend of his body at the hip, and the twisting of his tail. Lastly, his joyful expression cements all the previous details, and I love how his head-hair mimics his chest hair; the glasses are a nice finishing touch too!

I may have over-commented, but I truly admire this character, Folgers! You have a lovely style! Ah, and the square-paneled background probably added a hint of flavor as well--the green edge on the right especially. ^^

I'm impressed by your comment. I never though you would like it so much. That only makes me want to keep improving. I'm more surprised because I never though about the color palette and just chose what I though it would look good. You sir, deserve a medal for best comment I ever had.

Haha, you're quite welcome, Folgers! More often than not, artists need to know what they're doing right, especially when they're experimenting; commenting is not only a courteous gesture but a morale booster. But you'd be surprised, it takes a lot to crank out a sincerely constructive comment! I'd leave kind words on every piece of art I found inspiring if I had the energy to do so, but I comment sparingly--not because I'm stingy but because when "I' comment, I want to put forth the time and effort to give the artist something meaningful!

You've got a fountain of talent, Folgers! And I'm not one to flatter, I just call it when I see it, man. =D

I'm now Following You because of the quality of this piece, and D-Tail because He seems to know what he's talking about with his assessment. Well done on both your parts.

haha that did sound intimidating but I think that's what most people watching me are expecting too. This pressure will help me out to keep progressing and not get stuck in the comfort zone

Your control of line width really makes this piece. I also like the way you used the faint outline glow to put the character on a layer above the background. And, of course, the rendering on those shorts are awesome, as well. Excellent piece!
