Species: Ditto. Primarily uses Noibat and Lunala shapes
Locale: Alola (Sun/Solgaleos Pokemorph World Variant)

General information:
Prerequisite - His world is a pokemorph variant where feral pokemon still exist. His Alola worships and knows Solgaleos well, but Lunala is more of an unknown of the past with primary knowledge of it only remaining with a percentage of the populace on Ula'Ula. Specifically areas near the much more overgrown Lake of the Moone.

While at a younger age sailing the Alolan region he was attacked by a berserk unidentified Type:Full. His family was killed and himself left grievously injured. Before it killed him a large feral Lunala swooped in and engaged the pokemon from a large tear in the sky. The fight was quick, violent, and left a lasting impression on the injured Gustav as both vanished during the fighting which left a chunk of Vast Poni Canyon damaged, and a piece of the mysterious pokemon’s visor like face embedded in the ground. Going into a panic that the Type:Full would return Gustav quickly mimicked the Lunala that had saved him the best he could in his injured state.

He was saved and brought back by Sea villagers who had come to inspect the damage. With Lunala being unknown on Poni in this universe there wasn't much questioning his shape outside of it's apparent rarity. He was unable to easily leave the shape when he finally calmed, feeling the onset of a phobia-esque panic as the Lunala shape faded.

He would later dedicate himself to honoring the creature that had saved him. Scouring where the fight had occurred, and eventually finding the shard from it's face, a strange purple glass that seemed to glow as if stars were present inside of it. Using the genetics from the shard he practiced utilizing moves to the best of his capabilities using a gnarled branch as a focus. The shard embedded atop it. He'd spend a number of years on Poni. Eventually leaving to research what he could once his abilities had become stronger.

He traveled to Ula'Ula to learn more. Eventually learning of the abandoned Lake of the Moone. While visiting the Lake of the Moone he was discovered by some who had still worshiped the ancient location, albeit sparingly. Not wanting to let them know of what he presumed to be the real Lunala's death he lied and began a charade for their sake, or so he told himself. Eventually dressing more fancily when he appeared, and having the branch shaped into a jagged cane. These lies, however, lead into a years long con game of barely passable "Miracles" and worship that left him feeling more and more displeased in himself. As if he had stolen the creature's crown rather than honored it.

Upset at both his own situation, he vanished from the lake. Traveling to Akala and taking the shape of a Noibat, cane disguised as an umbrella, with just enough Lunala like features to keep himself calm and still be passable as “quirks”. Here he ran into a traveling companion. A rotom named Rotor who had just arrived and taken an oddly intense interest in him when he drove off some punks bothering them.
