Jacob loves a good mystery. When he was younger, and even still to this day, he loved the old Sherlock Holmes stories. The human detective, accompanied by his faithful assistant and friend, a bloodhound named John H. Watson, went about the Eigar Isles solving crimes and mysteries that no one else could. Jacob found his eccentricities and genius to be very appealing, being a bit eccentric himself at times. And his sapiosexual tendencies helped a little there, too.

Because of his love of the detective, Jacob was frequently dressing up as him for events that called for it. Dress up parties and Hallowes Eve, mostly. Occasionally he would accompany Holly and other family and friends to conventions, which gave him the perfect excuse to dress up, even if it wasn't current and popular. He always gets excited when people recognize the character, too, and will sometimes spend hours talking about it.
