Melodia has the distinction of being one of the greatest cities on Esoteria. Between the mosaic of different species and cultures coming together and the comfortable climate, the city is considered the place to live… For most.

The last couple of years have had a bit of fluctuation, though, and the city has seen some record setting cold and snowy winters and some abnormally hot and humid summers.

Holly is not a fan of the heat. Not in the least. It’s one of the few reasons she didn’t go back to her family’s home country with her parents to help with their fertility clinic. Usually when it gets too hot for her, she takes a cold bath or goes swimming. Unfortunately, the short trip she took to the beach with her friends and lovers was a bust. The water was deemed unsafe after multiple attacks and sightings of sharks feeding way too close to the shore; and there was a huge accident near a building of a new start up that seemed to be into some shady business, causing traffic to be backed up for miles.

Holly was stuck on the beach in the heat. So uncomfortable.
