So! After a bunch of messing around with volumes and what not, I think I finally got it to sound perfect! Let me know what ya think ^.=.^ if I need to mess with it moar, I shall :P
Might be fun adding a bit off different intensities of sound. With this I mean the overall sound, not one 'layer' in specific. This way you can make it even more expressive and add a climax in the sound.
Hmm.. I think I understand what you mean. I think it relates to effects but instead of a woosh or a crash or some other random noise to transition two measures, use a variety of synths to make the song sound more vibrant. I'm glad you pointed this out because I thought I was crazy when I said 'I think there is something missing.." XD
With the different intensities, I also mean having a flow in your music. Play with the crescendo's and descrescondo's can make it move more like a river with continuous stream that pulls you forward.

Here the first 20 seconds, there is just almost one note playing, but always with a bit more or less volume. It gives the thing a liveliness. If you just use autotune, then it'll get flat and boring.
The moments the singer is doing her part, don't let it all be the same volume, give it some extra towards the highlights. (Let her get above the sound)
You can find this in the that soundtrack to at 00:30-00:40 After every phrase she closes that part but regains strength for the next. This doesn't has to be this intensive, but playing with the sound and closing your eyes while hearing it, will give you the feel where it can be more, or should be less.
You're not crazy ;)
You're good, I love the song. It just still need a bit 'feel and expression' in it. But that is harder to get then the notes. Because it doesn't always follows the rules.

Definitely sounds better. :) The sung vocals stand out just enough to make sense of it.
