So, people on here keep asking me about my hand whenever I mention it.

THIS is what my hand looks like *SORRY. I HAVEN'T SHAVED IT*

In May 2011, I was involved in a motor vehicle accident which resulted in the dislocation, breaking and degloving of my left thumb.

Basically, what happened is my ex boyfriend was a dick, took a corner way too fast and the car rolled. My hand threw itself out the window and had good sexy times with the asphalt.

My wrist was broken in many places and my thumb was... minced.

To fix it, the doctors removed the fibula from my right leg (apparently you don't need it) and put it where the bone was. They then covered it with flesh from the same leg (hence the leg hair and fat thumb. Don't worry, It'll be getting lyposuction xD)

It is also held in place by a few bolts and a "k-wire" which is trying to escape my hand at that skin coloured lump (not the bright pink bit). It has already been operated on once to be shortened, but obviously not enough.

To get my hand to how it is now, I required 7 separate surgeries.

My thumb will never move again (aside from the tip which moves slightly) and my hand and wrist will degenerate a lot earlier and faster than people with uninjured hands.

No, I did not pass out or throw up when my hand was minced

Unfortunately I have no pre-op photos of my mangled hand, I do, however, have some slightly gorey post-op photos.

No-one else in the car was injured, even slightly.

There were three people in the car. The driver, myself and my best friend

I now have PTSD and freak the fuck out if I drive round a corner even remotely quickly.

I can no longer play ball sports, mop/sweep floors without pain or ride my bike, among other things
