The Blackberry Bird by Feather Dancer

The Blackberry Bird

Feather Dancer

The Blackberry bird** is one of the taller variants of wild fruit out there though appears to be a smaller more stockier version of it’s Raspberry bird cousin. Their heads ripen as they age before later showing signs of decay meaning it can be a more accurate sign than their plumage which remains dark most of their lives. Blackberry birds are certainly one of the skulkers of the undergrowth, snapping up morsels with their long stem and disappearing again as fast as they first appeared.

The Blackberry bird has a loose base bird in the form of a Bittern.

**Please note as this was my first digital foray with this fruit I went for a more simple one shot pose as the feathering took a few centuries alone despite the basic design is only very slightly changed from the original doodles.
