A badge for the big burly devil badger!

The theme is viking invasion and I'm having a little cheeky fun with anglo-saxon. After all someone has to repeal those damn Waelwulfas!

So the runes are futhorc and spell out some Old English words. a name for the sword and Deo's old english name.

Edit: To translate the name for the sword and Deo and the reasons why (since I'm sure you guys just happened to misplace your anglo saxon dictionaries.)

Sword: The runes spell S W EO R D, Sweord. Literally it just says "Sword"

Deo: The runes spell
AE L M I H T I G: All Mighty

So Deo is derived from Deus, the latin for god or deity. Anglo Saxons weren't too big on deities. They didn't have them before christianity rolled into the area but rather had a "shit happens" sort of attitude. The closest other word involved Faeries, not really the same concept.

So God is just "god" but Anglo Saxons had a real love of epithets. My favorite word is Waelwulfas (Slaughterwolves...like wolves of a battlefield of fresh slaughter)
Anyway "All mighty" is pretty common to refer to GOD, but there's a little special language play here. The word is lighterally all MIGHT, strength. God to the anglo saxons was a mother fucking badass, because to be the ruler, the king of kinds, you obviously had to be the best strongest most amazing warrior.

So the name is a sort of joking "God" play, but also calling Deo the mightiest, literally, or warriors.
