This is the little thing I put together for P01D's birthday pic - you might have noticed it in the background. I figured I'd upload the full thing for yall to see! The piercing names are either the anatomical term for the area, or are based on that term but made to sound more like a piercing slang sort of thing. Feel free to use this for reference and stuff! I'm planning on doing some for other species in the future, maybe make a portfolio out of them. This one is specifically based on a house cat, but it'd be easy to map them over to big cats etc. I know this probably isn't UTTERLY AND COMPLETELY accurate as I was eyeballing off a diagram, but it gets the point across.

Working on this cued me in to some interesting thoughts. First of all, most of the 'lobe' piercings you see on anthros would actually just be going through fluff, as there's no real lobe there. I think the pouch piercing would be the equivalent. Secondly, there is a LOT of cat ear anatomy going on under that fluff. I think stuff on the lower end, like the crura helix or antitragus or notch piercings, would be neat to get at a larger gauge with a CBR, maybe put a colored bead/ball on it, and let that poke out of the fluff. Or it might be a thing for more dedicated body modders to trim or shave their inner ear fur to display piercings like the antihelix, or maybe to get a large gauge in the apex so that the ear tip flops over. Fun stuff to think about!
